Tip describes our practice, which offers sedation, cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and general and preventive dentistry, as “a complete dental institute!” She has been working with Dr. Khalil since 2003, and exemplifies our standard of honest, caring, and attention to patients. Tip believes those values are why we see so many familiar faces around our office every day. The biggest reward in her line of work is to see the patients walk out of here with a big smile.

When she’s not helping our patient care run smoothly, Tip enjoys spending time with her son and family, eating at her mom’s restaurant, volunteering at her son’s school, and being a football mom.

Summa Cum Laude, Northern Virginia Community College

I am a mother of three wonderful children: Issac, Anna, and Liam. Issac is proudly living as an openly transgender male, is an incredibly talented artist, and the kindest person you’ll ever be fortunate enough to meet. Anna is a spunky, fun, and welcoming young lady with charm and charisma that she uses to make everyone happy. Liam is an inquisitive and sporty young man with a sharp mind and tender heart. My proudest moments rest in watching them grow. I am married to Derrick, a retired Army Soldier who is dedicated to his family every day. Walking with him has made life more joyful.

As I wrap up a big remodel on our forever home, I’ve found a new love for interior design. That’s not to say I’m particularly good at it, but I do enjoy following interior designers and trying to replicate their talents in my own space. Of course, photography will always hold a special and meaningful place in my heart. Lastly, I love finding great food, whether it be fancy or casual. I enjoy hearing suggestions of places in the DMV to try and reminiscing with patients about places I’ve gone to. After staying home with my children until they started school, I worked for a decade as a business owner and photographer. I transitioned into the dental world later in life and have loved every minute.

I’ve worked with Arlington Dentistry by Design as a caregiver for 4 months. I love our patients and my colleagues. Each patient is such a joy to get to know. Being in this region allows me to meet and develop relationships with people from all over the world: young and old. My colleagues are team players who genuinely want the practice to grow in quality every single day. They challenge me, support me, and genuinely care about my family and me.

Dentistry is a rewarding career made more so by patients entrusting us to provide quality care. Dental hygiene allows me to help people while nurturing a love of science. From educating our patients about oral hygiene to cleaning the teeth to developing that bond, dental hygiene ticks all the blocks for my goals as a professional!
